Does a sweep hurt?

39 weeks with my first baby and will be getting a sweep next week if I haven’t gone by then. A friend told me it was horrible and now I’m getting nervous, is it that bad? 😕

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different so it just depends. Mine was just uncomfortable but it’s quick - my doctor was done within seconds

Your going to get a lot of mixed reactions. My friend had an all natural birth and said her sweep was more painful than the birth. I on the other hand had to ask if they had done it yet.

Mine was uncomfortable, I wouldn’t say painful. Its only for a few seconds. I also birthed both my babies without pain meds 🤷🏻‍♀️ everyone’s pain tolerance is different.
