How soon do you and your partner plan on telling close family and close friends?

We are telling close family and friends this week, after our doctor’s appointment! I’ll be in my late 6th week. Everyone else will hear around Christmas, which will be just shy of the 12 week mark.

We plan to tell at Christmas if all hoes well in the next 5 weeks. That would put us at 10 weeks.

I told parents of us both right away, some close friends right away. But extended family and other friends I’ll tell closer to 12 weekz

My parents and siblings will be told soon and then were going to wait for our first ultrasound to tell everyone else. 2 previous mc and I'm super nervous to tell anyone.

So I told my parents and my brother who I am really close to right when I found out. For everyone else we are waiting. My husband wants to wait to tell his dad until we are farther along just in case because we’ve had a couple losses, and for literally everyone else we plan on telling the month I am due. We are actually planning on taking a photo every week, and then the last month we’ll upload a photo every day so it’s like you get 9 months of pregnancy in one month, and the last photo we post will be the baby.

So waiting till 12w or later for social media. But we told our neighbors who are our really good friends and my husbands best friend at work like the day after we found out! I told my parents like a week later because I was literally avoiding my moms calls because I knew I wouldn’t be able to not tell her 😂😂 and I told one of my best friends whose like my sister the other day because I hadn’t seen her in years and didn’t know when I would see her again. Lol and then we’re going to tell my husbands family on thanksgiving. I wanted to tell them sooner but he wanted to wait until they came in town so we could tell them in person.

We'll officially tell our kids after the ultrasound if it goes well. Family will be told on Christmas (roughly 10 weeks).
