Has anyone else’s partner told them they don’t want you to be induced ?

I has a consultant appointment on Friday and baby girls still breech at 34+2 and they suggested a few things that they could do on the 6th December if she doesn’t turn around, they could either turn her internally, c section (which I don’t want) or they could induce me. I wouldn’t mind being induced but he’s said he doesn’t want me to be induced and to just wait until she’s ready? I’m trying to think practically 🤦🏼‍♀️😔

i mean that’s pretty reasonable.... i don’t think you should ever be induced unless it’s medically necessary

It's not unreasonable, but it's your body your choice ultimately.
I don't intend to be induced or have surgery, so even though my husband is anxious about me going into labor while he's over an hour away at work, and to him the peace of mind knowing the exact date baby will come out will make him feel better - he's not going to force me to do or not do something I don't want to do.

It’s personal preference but neither me or my SO want me to be induced. I would personally try to manually flip baby if you can, and if that fails think about other options.

What would induction alone, do for your baby being breech?

If they do an ECV I would personally get induced after. Waiting for baby to come on their own after that procedure gives babe the chance to flip back to a breech position which would more than likely result in a c section.

Generally, I’m all for just letting baby come when he/she is ready.  However, you’ve got a different set of facts with a breech baby at this stage.   There’s mostly likely going to have to be some medical help getting this baby out safely.  You’ve got to do what you feel most comfortable with. I totally understand wanting to take your partner’s wishes into account - after all it’s their baby too but in the end it is your body.

I scheduled an induction for 41 weeks. I dont see the need to induce before his due date. Thankfully no medical issues that necessitate one earlier. And im ok with going one week past my duedate. 2 weeks is too much for me. Plus, i can always cancel the induction. Im not obligated since its elective at the moment.

... a partner telling me how they want ME to give birth would infuriate me. Hubby is happy to support whatever I chose.
