Midwife Brew?

Has anyone tried the midwife brew to induce labor? If so, did it work and what we're the side effects?

My OB said to try anything other than that, all it does is give you diarrhoea which yes, can induce labour, but is also a very unpleasant way of doing so.

I tried it with absolutely no success. I’m being induced tonight and the doctor told me to go ahead and try everything from Wednesday to today to induce naturally (aka make things easier than pitocin pains!) I had my membrane stretch and sweep on Wednesday, then on Friday evening I was having a load of Braxton Hicks, so I was like bows the time! (Not to mention I was heavily nesting and doing laundry that was already clean, sweeping, mopping, toothbrush scrubbing corners like WHEW went crazy on an already spotless house!) well I did the brew and didn’t get nauseous, I didn’t mind the taste either lol (but I’ve had the easiest non hormonal no symptom pregnancy!) so I gulped it like an almond butter smoothie! Well I finished it, continued cleaning up, started bouncing and rolling around on a ball, now it’s been about 3 hours and I’m feeling nothing! I went to bed about 5 am with not a single contraction, movement, or Braxton hick 🙄🥺. Woke up to a tad bit of “pressure” and it was on and off for a good 3 hrs but they weren’t even contractions, just pressure (ftm so could’ve been minor contracting?) well I went back to bed, woke up at 7 am continued my day to nothing happening. I vigorously searched google and seen it could take 24 hrs.. in all excited waiting around continuing daily activities and nothing ever happened. No vowel movements no nothing! Now I’m nervous and having my own diarrhea before I go in to be induced tonight 😂🤦🏽‍♀️. Hoping I don’t go all over the table!
