How to treat this dry scalp or dandruff (?) issue

So I’m 16 weeks pregnant and my head has been soo itchy and the dandruff is ridiculous. Ive never had this problem, like ever. I have curly hair 3b-3c hair and I normally wash my hair once a week and I would be ok, but as of the last two week dear lord. Help!! What can I do besides washing it twice a week or more.

Pregnancy makes everything dry, especially being pregnant during winter omg. You're probably going to have to wash more than once a week and make sure you use moisture. If you use alot of product in your hair then I'd also grab a clarifying shampoo and only use it once a week or even once every 2 weeks to get the buildup off, then moisture shampoo and conditioner. Also an oil for your scalp is helpful. Dont use head and shoulders. What your most likely experiencing is dry scalp and it's normal but it is inconvenient.

Only thing that helps me is applying a hair mask 1-2 times a week.

I’m with you on this one! I’ve tried regular shampoo andhead & shoulders. I’ve tried washing my hair more often  and less often. I’ve put oil in my hair before washing, after washing, and nothing seems to be helping!

Go to your local beauty supply store (We have Sally's here, not sure if there's another big chain like them or not) and talk to them, they can help point you in the right direction of sulfate-free shampoos and such, most of them are licensed cosmetologists and know what they're talking about ☺
