Thoughts on Boudoir Photos

So here recently I have been thinking about doing Boudoir pictures, I honestly just wanted to give them a try because I have low self esteem. Has anyone done them and liked how they turned out? What kind of lingerie/outfit is best for these types of pictures and did it boost self esteem?
