My 12/2 baby became an 11/16 baby at 37+5 due to high blood pressure 💕 she is 7lbs 4oz, 20 inches long! Started my cervidil at 1230, water broke on its own around 145 and I was dilated to 4cm by 6pm! I felt really confident going without an epidural but after being "stuck" at 4cm for several hours and contractions back to back, I caved and got the epidural around 3am. I felt pressure to push almost immediately after my epidural was in and baby girls heart rate kept dropping. Nurse checked and confirmed I was still 4 cm so started oxygen and got the OB out of bed (she was sleeping in the on call room). OB came in to check me because of the amount of pain I was STILL in and established I was actually FULLY dilated but little miss was NOT engaged and stuck at -2 station and what they thought was my cervix stuck at 4 and high was actually the top of her head. OB was concerned about the heart rate dropping so I had no choice but to push her from where she was RIGHT NOW OR emergency c section. 7 pushes and she was here! The OB came back 3 times to tell me how phenomenal the delivery was and every nurse on call popped in to tell me how amazing it was that she came SO quick from SO high. I'm so thankful she is here and healthy 💕
