What to do in Los Angeles?

Im on vacation with my husband (im 23 and hes 24) were looking for something to do in Los Angeles since were from Canada, im in LA until next sunday. :)

There are so many options do you wanna just stay in LA? Or ya good to drive around a bit? I highly recommend Newport Beach Pier it very nice. There are lots of museums of course there is Univeral and Disney. The options are just about endless.

okay, i live in LA. dont stay downtown, stay on a beach if you can. Manhattan and santa monica are nice! downtown is underwhelming to be frank!
Do you like art galleries? The Broad is free if you book in advance (just a day or two is usually fine) and so are the Getty and Getty villa. The Broad has a lot of cool contemporary stuff, from Basquiat to Jeff Koons. The Getty is a LOT larger and has things like renaissance art, photography exhibitions, and a great view. The Getty Villa is all ancient art like ceramics from ancient greece and bronze statues from Rome! All of these are free like I said but you do have to pay parking. 
Which reminds me, rent a car! LA is GIGANTIC and the metro is not great :( a car is your best bet, but avoid driving rush hour on weekdays because it is seriously as bad as everyone says it is.
Hollywood boulevard is fun, but also a kinda underwhelming area, its cool to see but not anywhere you wanna be for a long time.
