What to do with my fine hair?

My hair is naturally straight and pretty silky. The hair stylist suggests to “damage” it by bleaching and dying black or brown (my hair is between brownish to black naturally) to mess up the texture. Therefore, we can hope to get my hair more volumnized. What you think?

Thanks for the suggestions girls. I have not been back to the same hair stylist since then Haha. And now my next question. What would you do with this type of hair? I get bored of my straight hair sometimes. I tried to curl it occasionally but it wouldnt stay for more than 30’

Find a new stylist. There are products out there to change the texture and volume of your hair as you style it. Do NOT damage your hair on purpose for a result that isn't even guaranteed

You can add volume to your hair by just using hair spray and a comb. You lightly spray your roots with hair spray then tease the roots underneath and it’ll give your hair some volume. 
Also, try curling your hair with a straightener (more rounded). The curls will be more tight and stay intact longer. 
Lastly, you can also buy some hair extensions to add length which will also add volume to your hair. I use clip ins since it’s quicker and cheaper than going to a salon and paying over $500+ for extensions.
