How long did it take you?

I had a miscarriage in May and we have yet to conceive again.  How long did it take you to conceive after a miscarriage?  I was told I’d be most fertile after a miscarriage, but I clearly lost hope with that idea a while ago.  Feeling very down 6 months later.

Got pregnant our first try then it ended in a missed miscarriage early on. Hoped that it would happen just as quickly again but it didn’t. I was confused because I kept hearing how fertile you are after a loss but that wasn’t the case for me. It took six cycles to get pregnant again. Even with religiously using opks, perfectly timing intercourse. I was crushed each month. Hang in there and be patient with your body. It will happen soon.

It took me 3 years to recover mentally. And another 2 years of actively ttc to get pregnant. I’ve learned to improve my heath both mentally and physically before I started to see results. The miscarriage messed me up so badly. I started drinking and fell into depression. Gained weight and started to believe I wasn’t able to carry a baby. With time, I stopped drinking and worked out. I stopped stressing about how long it took to get pregnant again. It’s different for everyone. When the time is right, you’ll be pregnant with a healthy baby. Baby dust to you all.

Same here. It look us 18 months the first time and then MC at 9 weeks. That was July. Feeling very down.

See my post about thyroid dysfunction. I too had a missed miscarriage and had to have a D&C to remove at the end of May. No luck conceiving again. Worse, I’ve gained weight since miscarriage despite not doing anything differently eating or exercise wise. Feel exhausted all the time. Muscle fatigue. Cycle is off with late ovulation and early periods. Apparently these are all signs of hypothyroidism (thyroid slows down and can happen after pregnancy or miscarriage). It can also keep you from getting pregnant again. Im getting my thyroid tested this week. If you have any of these symptoms, you might want to check with your doc as well. Good luck!

My first loss, I didn’t conceive again for a year. 
After I had my daughter, I had another miscarriage and conceived 1 cycle later to have my second daughter. 
I had a miscarriage in October again 5.5 weeks ago, and I never got another cycle, I’m pregnant with our third. 
Each time was different. That first year was very frustrating and difficult. 
What has your doctor said? 
Are you tracking ovulation? 
Is hubby’s sperm count and mobility good? 
It takes the average couple with no fertility issues  6 months to conceive.

Same. Thought I would be pregnant by my due date at least, that ship sailed.
