Close to labor?

My little December 16th boy feels like he's trying to get out now! He's been so so low the last few days. Lots of loose bowel movements, low back pain with mildly painful contractions during the night. Despite these things, I've had more energy than I've had in months! 36 weeks today, any mom's experiencing similar symptom's? I see my OB tomorrow afternoon so I'll see what she says.

*Update! Went to my appointment and she was a bit concerned so checked everything out. Only about 2cm and low, no leaking waters! She did send me up to L&D for some baby monitoring because of decreased movement and the contractions, but he's fine and I am home! Now just to patiently wait for the grand arrival!
