Hell yeah. Everywhere should recycle no matter what. Companies, fast food places, homes/apartments, stores ..... everywhere. No excuses. It’s not hard. Rinse and recycle shit. Care about the planet we are leaving for our children. They taught reduce, reuse, recycle when I was in elementary school ♻️ and I’m 35 years old now and people still struggle with this concept. It’s bullshit. Fine everyone who doesn’t.

I live in an apartment complex and we don't really have the option to recycle unless we pay a ton for a service just for us and we don't have a place to put a bin at all. I grew up having a recycling bin that was larger than our garbage bin, so I am very into it, but it's not really possible for us now so getting a fine would be a bit crazy

Where I used to live there was 🤷🏽‍♀️ 
They would send warning notices and even publish a blurb in the news paper reminding people in that block to recycle.  I thought it was the norm

No. What an overreach. Are we gonna have recycling police?
I'm a huge advocate for reducing  and recycling and I wish its was done better I am not in favor of these kinds of penalties. 
But everyone can recognize what can and cannot be recycled,  and recycling isnt available everywhere. This would affect seniors and people who have trouble living independently and well as people who cant afford recycling pickup

Recycling should definitely be more reinforced. Not with a fine though- when you move to some areas as I have in the past years theres no bin for it available or option. It kills me though each time I throw plastic away I make everything from scratch on my home and we go threw 3-4 gallons of milk a week in our home. I feel better though switching to a menstrual cup and sewing my own cloth pads though. You would think in 2019 the way we do garbage would have changed before smartphones became a essential for living. We recycle what we can though.
