Why does breast milk change color

Why does it look yellow sometimes then white other times?

Its different fat contents. It also has a blueish tint when baby is ill which i always thought was pretty cool when i breastfed my little boy. It changes depending on what baby needs. Which is signelled by babys saliva when breastfeeding. Its amazing what our bodies can do.

More fat is yellow. Hind milk (the milk that’s “further back”) tends to have more fat

Mine would change colors when my milk actually came in rather than colostrum, and depending on baby needs it changed thickness and color, super weird, but the baby’s saliva makes the milk change somehow
