Red roots

I'm a dark brunette and went in for a root touch up (grey hair yay me). I told the woman I wanted my roots touched up with my natural color same as I always have. Keep in mind this was a new salon I went to, later found out this girl had just graduated last month and only been working there 2 1/2 weeks. After it was all done I realized she's dyed my roots dark red. My hair has red tones to it but with my hair in a pony tail you can see where she dyed and the color that it was before. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it a 5 week wait to get it fixed?
