IVF at 39

Hey Ladies.

I just did my first ever

IVF

egg retrieval. I am 39 yo and they were able to retrieve 11 eggs. Anyone else do

IVF

at a late age and had success? The wait I think is the worst part of this entire process. Fingers and toes are crossed that many of them my eggs fertilize.

Update: 9 out of the 11 fertilized. Will wait to see how many make to day 3 and 6.

A little update for day 3. All 9 of my little embabies are still growing.

Day 4 update:

Doc called and said they all look good. They will be checked again on day 5 and 6. He also said I should not expect all 9 to survive. I am happy they lasted to day 4 but sad some will not make it to day 5 and 6.

Update: 5 of my embryos were frozen and sent for biopsy. I will learn the grading on monday.
