Am I being cheap?

I have longish bangs and once they get get past my nose I like to trim off about an inch. I used to go to Supercuts to get actual haircuts, however, they butchered my hair so bad and it was so uneven. I started going to a salon, and got my bangs cut for the first time and I was charged $13 and left a large tip. Once they got longer again, I went to the same salon at a different location to get an inch trimmed and the stylist charged almost $40 and I just left $5 tip, and she gave me a weird look. I don’t see why it’s so expensive at a different location but the same salon company. Am I being cheap or am I being overcharged?
