Nipple piercing normal??

I’ve had my nipple piercings for about a month now and I went to clean them this morning and this came out of the piercing hole .. is this normal?

It’s only been one month, they are still healing. It’ll probably take about 3-6 months to fully heal and stop excreting. Don’t wipe it away too much, clean it but don’t over-clean. Just let it heal

It's because you're using qtips to clean them. That's a big NO NO. They're made of cotton fibers and the fibers can break off and get in the hole and cause infection. I worked at a tattoo shop doing body piercing and this looks exactly like the stuff I'd pull out of piercings when people would come in and say they were having discomfort or redness or infection symptoms and then say they used qtips to clean with. We tell everyone no qtips or cotton products on the piercing. Soap. Water. Leave it alone. It will heal perfectly fine on it's own.

Personally I’ve never had yellow puss come from any of my 7 piercings and I’ve always heard yellow or green smelly puss means infection, so I would say that’s not normal and double check with your piercer just to be sure. I’m the meantime try as hot as you can stand sea salt soaks.
