Tips on natural labour?

Hi ladies , if any of you have tips about natural labour please share ! I am 36 weeks and def want to do it as naturally as possible.

A doula who knows how to do counter pressure techniques or have your husband learn.  Water therapy, either the shower or bath.  Don’t go to the hospital too early.  They push meds even when you say you don’t want them so if you’re there too early you’re more likely to give in.  Focus on something.  With my first, I focused on my breathing.  Second on moaning and envisioned her moving down.  Third on relaxing every muscle.  Have someone remind you of your focal point during contractions.  Avoid augmentation at all costs, this includes breaking the water, it sends your pain to another level 😫 keep your energy up with food and water.  Have snacks in your bag to sneak if they tell you that you can’t eat.  If you don’t keep your energy up through food fuel, you’ll get worn down and have trouble handling the pain.
Good luck mama xx I made it through three labors naturally and I won’t say it’s easy but it’s worth it in my opinion.  I felt amazing after each of my deliveries.

What helped me the most was visualizing what the labor was actually doing. I looked up videos and graphics of what a contraction does to my uterus and how it pushes baby down and out. Making sense of the contraction helped my brain understand the pain and I actually processed it as more uncomfortable than painful and was able to let me my body just go with it rather than fighting against it. It was cool. Also hot water is nature’s epidural 😍 I had my doula pour it down my spine and it was lovely.

I agree with these other ladies. Move around as much as possible. Don’t push until you’re in active labor. Eat snacks when you can and stay hydrated. I suggest a good trail mix and applesauce. Bodyarmor to drink if you have it. The pressure points REALLY helped. Visualize what your body is doing, remind yourself that you can do it. Keep that chin down when pushing ❤️ best of luck to you!

I did natural labor 2 months ago after 2 induced, epidural births. I have low pain tolerance, very very low. I got on the bed and pulled my knees to my chest while on my stomach and put my chest and head on the pillow. I took a benadryl to help relax my uterus. I did deep loud moans during contractions and kind of swayed and laid my head down and slept in between contractions.  I always heard to just give in to the pain and never understood it until I did it. You just let them contractions flow and stay loose. Never clench your jaw or tighten your face. The more relaxed you can be the easier for your cervix to dilate.

Watch all the hypnobirthing videos on YouTube. I watched them the final few days of my pregnancy, never studied it before hand, and it helped immensely! I had an amazing labor thanks to that. Also, hire a doula! They are amazing and can remind you of everything when you need help, and keep you focused when others are around who might distract you.

This was during the birth of my second at home. My husband and midwifes did a fabulous job relieving the pain in my lower back with acupressure. I agree with visualizing what your body is doing to push the baby out, relax your shoulders, your jaw and face, low moans, stay hydrated, use hot/warm water to relieve back pain, let go of all fear because it will cause more pain and tension.

I had an all natural with my 2nd son, and I delivered him in a level 1 trauma center and to my shock they were so helpful and excited I was having a natural birth. They provided me with anything I wanted. I felt like the rocking chair and ball helped me so much and music as well. But everyone is different.
