Is it normal for baby to cry at night without waking?!

I’m a FTM, so this may be a really silly question, but my 6 mo has started crying for 10-15 min increments at night, and he doesn’t wake up or even open his eyes sometimes. There are no tears, and it’s like a loud whine/cry and it looks like he can’t get comfortable since he’s rolling around everywhere now. As background, we have him in his own crib in our room, he already has 2 teeth but I think more are coming because he’s been drooling like mad and had a slight fever this weekend. He usually wakes every 3-4 hours but recently it’s been closer to 1-2 hours with this “dry cry”. He hasn’t done this before, so I’m just wondering if this is normal??? 🥴
