Do Babies Clear Out Their Airways On Their Own After Birth?
I’m wanting a totally natural birth (in a hospital) but without coached pushing, no medication, baby is not getting a bath afterwards, etc. The whole nine yards. I was wondering if it was absolutely necessary for the doctors to use the bulb suction on the baby right after birth or if babies’ bodies know how to clear out their lungs on their own without any suction. I’ve seen lots of home birth videos on YouTube where the moms hold their babies for a long time and I don’t see anyone sucking out their nose or mouth. I’ve heard of babies aspirating on the fluid after birth, so I’m just wondering what would be best for my boy when he arrives. Thanks ladies 💕
