Giving baby/toddler Vitamin D drops?

Do any of you give your little one Vitamin D drops daily? I just read where most pediatricians recommend this now. Of course I’ll ask my newborns pediatrician when he is born before giving him any, but I also have a toddler who isn’t playing outside now due to it basically being winter where we live. I was considering giving her Vitamin D drops. What’s your take on this?
Edited to say my daughter is 3. Maybe these drops aren’t necessary at this age?

I live in Denmark and it's recommended all year around here from two weeks old till 2 years.
Which makes sense. Even a lot of adults here are lacking D vitamin, some just at winter and others all year around.

That even most adults are vitamin D deficient. My levels were at half of what they should have been when I got tested during pregnancy. So ive actually been on them the whole time and probably will be for a long time if not forever. I would ask the pediatrician first tho just to be safe as I'm. Ot sure if too high of levels of it can cause issues.

Breast milk doesn’t contain Vitamin D so my OB said one drop a day for my LO.

We live in Germany and give a vitamin d tablet daily for the first year of his life.

Depends on her milk consumption, because it’s added to milk. If she doesn’t drink it regularly, I would give her a vitamin d supplement

I’m in Wisconsin so we all take vitamin D all winter, including the baby.
