This is almost definitely in the wrong group.... but what’s so special about Ru Paul?

Now, Ru Paul’s Drag Race U.K. has just finished airing over here. I loved it so I decided to watch the last season of the American version.

Obviously Ru Paul is seen as the absolute icon of drag but I don’t see why? On the American season Ru Paul presented the show to a live audience. She had the pit crew dance around her but didn’t join in or lip sync... if the contestants are expected to, why can’t she? Also, her hair always looks similar and some of the dresses aren’t that nice. I just don’t get it 🤷🏻‍♀️
