Does it hurt when they check to see if your dilated ?

Personal opinion here .. it’s different for everyone so keep that in mind. It depends what you call pain or what you call uncomfortable. With me, by the time I was ready to check for it, I was in so much pain and so uncomfortable and so over the whole pregnancy, that a check up didn’t phase me. Mind you I went all the way to 41 weeks cause baby girl cake when she was ready , regardless of how uncomfortable, painful and fed up I was.
Painful compared to what? To not feeling any pain? On a scale from one to 10( 10 being very painful) compared to how uncomfortable you are already, I give it a ONE. Compared to contractions the pain you might have from a check up, is MINUS 50. It’s not pain in all honesty,as much as it is a LITTLE uncomfortable.. but what’s a little , to how uncomfortable you already are.. let’s face it.. the last few check ups are nothing .. really..

It depends on who checks. My make doctor doesn’t hurt me at all. But his female nurse practitioner kills me when she does it. You’d think it would be the other way around 🤷🏻‍♀️
