Does my golden look like a golden????

Question

People ask me if he’s a lab or partial. I think it’s because he’s so light in color and he’s not hairy. Is this normal? He turns 1 years old on Dec 13th.

Yes he is a platinum blonde, my golden is 10 and shes a light blonde. They go as dark as the colour on their ears. His fluff will come in when he loses more of his puppy fur

As far as coloring Golden's actually come in a few colors. Yours is called English Cream. Golden's are also bred to have either long flowing locks (Show Goldens) or shorter hair that lays closer to their body (Field Goldens). Field Goldens were bred as working dogs instead of for looks. The shorter hair helps them maneuver wilderness without getting it tangled and matted. 
We have two at home, both English Cream color but one is a Show Golden and one's a Field Golden. We didn't buy them that way specifically, that's just what we got. The Field Golden has a coat basically like a lab's. Much shorter and coarser. The Show Golden didn't grow into his full adult coat until he was about 18 month to two years old, so yours might still see some growth. 
Obviously if his parents weren't bred specifically for show or field he could be a mix and end up with a more medium coat.

Omg! All of these golden retrievers! 😍🥰. I LOVE golden retrievers. I’ve ALWAYS wanted one but never could get one because I lived at home with my mom and she didn’t want pets. Now, I’m married and we don’t live with her, but we have 2 rescue dogs (they’re sisters and we rescued them from being euthanized) and 3 dogs just aren’t for us right now. Maybe one day I will have my golden!!
