Hey girls, this will be a long post but I really need some advice.

Two weeks ago, my boyfriend and I had protected sex. He used a condom, but I was using Monistat 7 at the time to combat a yeast infection. I read that Monistat can break the condom but we were extra careful and afterwards I did the water test where I filled the condom up with tap water and nothing leaked out which I assume means the condom was fine and we were safe.

The week after that, (so last week Sunday), I started taking birth control pills. (Kurvelo). I took my first pill on Sunday since that’s when my period was expected to begin but it never came. I took the pill anyway at 6:00 PM that evening.

The next day, I took the pill again at 6:00 PM trying my best to be consistent.

However on Tuesday, I got sick. I woke up with a fever, my throat was swelling and I was aching all over so in fear that I was having some sort of reaction to the pills, I skipped taking it that day and went to the doctor.

After I was cleared, I took 2 pills on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. (The pill meant for Tuesday, and the pill meant for that day).

On Thursday I took the pill at 7:30 PM.

On Friday, I got preoccupied and forgot about the pill until later and took it at 11:30 PM that night.

Then on Saturday I forgot again and took the pill at 11:45 PM that night.

So all throughout the week I’ve been pretty inconsistent with taking my pills. Plus I got sick so I’ve been taking other medication such as Tylenol and Advil. (I’m not sure how they affect Birth Control pills but my doctor reccomended those medications to me knowing I was taking BC so I assume it was fine).

However despite being inconsistent, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex this past Sunday to celebrate our anniversary. He went in raw and we went at it for a while, being pretty rough. Then he finished a LOT inside me. I tried pushing most of it out in the bathroom right after but cum was still leaking out of my vagina for the rest of the day so I know he blew a big load. (I also had an orgasm that same night- idk if that makes a difference).

However I forgot to urinate after having sex so the next morning (Monday Morning), I began having symptoms of a UTI or Yeast Infection so I used one of my Monistat 7 tunes to combat it.

I’m concerned because so much has happened, I’m worried about getting pregnant. (I don’t want to be pregnant yet).

• The week before I began BC pills my bf and I had protected sex despite me being on Monistat- where the condom didn’t break (I checked using the water test).

• The Sunday following, I took my first BC Pill (Kurvelo) and my expected period never came and it still hasn’t.

• The next week after I’ve been inconsistent with my pills and got sick & started using antibiotics along with the BC Pills...

- Sunday: Pill taken at 6:00 PM

- Monday: 6:00 PM

- Tuesday: None

- Wednesday: 2 pills at 7:00 PM

- Thursday: 7:30 PM

- Friday: 11:30 PM

- Saturday: 11:45 PM

• Then the Sunday after (one week after taking BC inconsistently), my bf and I had unprotected sex where he finished inside of me.

Since last Sunday, I’ve stopped taking my Birth Control Pills because my bf wants me to be able to tell if I’m having pregnancy symptoms and it’s hard to tell those apart from the BC symptoms (nausea, tender breasts, etc). So I’m not currently on my Birth Control.

So that being said, I have a few questions Id really like some input on:

1 ) Does the birth control really stop periods the second I take them? Or should I be concerned that my period never came this month?

2) Knowing that I was so inconsistent with taking my BC Pills, what are the chances that I’ll become pregnant?

3) Do birth control pills only work if you take them at the same time every day?

4) How will I know if I’m pregnant or not? When is the earliest I can tell?

5) I used Monistat the morning after I had unprotected sex with my bf. Does Monistat lessen the chances of pregnancy? Like, does it block the way for the sperm to reach where it needs to go?

6) Should I be concerned?

7) What should I do?

8) If I had an orgasm a few hours after my boyfriend came inside of me, does that help the sperm travel to where it needs to go? (I read that somewhere and idk if it’s true or not).
