Blood glucose levels when being sick?

Anyone get a cold since having GD and noticed it made their blood glucose levels increase? Is this normal?

Answer

Yes, any stresses will cause blood sugar levels to rise. I had a stomach bug a week ago and called my diabetic nurse because I numbers were way high even though I was eating less but taking the same amount of insulin. She said it’s normal but to increase my insulin if it kept up more than a day.
