How much is too much clotting?
Okay so besides obviously talking to my OB I just wanted to hear from some other ladies.
I’m 29 and always had extremely heavy periods. Got my period when I was about 11 and it would be like 2 weeks of bleeding and the first 4-5 days of constantly changing pads/tampons, bleeding through stuff awful etc.
Went on the pill when I was 16 which made it so much better.
Went off the pill summer of 2018 to get pregnant.
I had my daughter in March so I’ve been getting my period again now for about 6/7 months-yes I’m nursing and still got my period 😭.
Anyway I was just scrolling through the interwebs and I saw an article about women who have too many blood clots when they menstruate and how that’s a problem but then I looked it up more and it said how if it’s the first couple days it’s totally normal but if it’s over a certain size it might not be normal but since that was my normal I don’t know any different so I guess I’m just curious what some of you ladies go through?
I’ve always had big blood clots so I just thought it was normal? 🤷🏻♀️
I’d say like at least tablespoon sized the first day and a half of my period and then it goes to a trickle.
So maybe the first 24-48 hours it’s like super extreme heavy needing super plus tampons with a pad just in case changing every 60-90 min and then the last 2-3 day’s with a slim fit changing every 2-4 hours but not because it’s full but because that’s a while to have something up there..
So anyone? Same? No? Is ‘Dr. Google’ just scaring me?
