Should we get our son circumcised?

Hello. I will be a new mother next year and I’ve been hearing both sides of the argument. My husband and I have no clue how we should go about doing this.

I’m going to be really honest you’re not going to get much help on here. This is always going to be a torn argument. I would keep researching and find the best decision for you and your family.

It can't be undone. The majority of males worldwide are not circumcised. Don't listen to the anecdotes, look at the big picture. There's no global epidemic of uncircumcised penis problems.

If you have no medical reason or religious reason then Iwouldn't. My fiance and I agreed if we have a son we aren't going to. But dont go around telling people your decision because you'll get hate either Way. In the end it's your sons penis so.. no one else opinions should matter except a doctor.

Yourwholebaby.org has great information on it that’s scientifically backed, no antidotal evidence from people who may only know one side of the argument. Personally, I did not with my first and won’t with my second. His body, his choice. America is pretty ignorant on care and procedure also so be prepared to find bad info everywhere. I can say that care is easier, you literally do NOTHING special for hygiene because it is unnecessary until puberty. So easy. Just leave it be as the foreskins protective. No caring for an open wound in a poopy diaper of an infant...

It’s entirely up to you and his father. We decided to get our son circumcised when he’s born.

Is your husband circumcised? Most couples I know  follow the "well dad is circumcised so we did our son. Or dad wasnt so we didn't." Either way then they have a male in the family who can show them proper cleaning etc.
