I’m in my 3rd trimester and have severe iron deficiency anemia. My ferritin levels are so low that I need multiple iron infusions. I’m so worried about what this means for my delivery and what the effects will be on my baby. I feel like he’s not even born yet and I’m already failing him as a mother. I’ve tried so hard to eat healthy but I had such terrible morning sickness during my first and second trimesters that I could barely eat anything. Has anyone had experience with iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy? Did your delivery go okay and was your baby okay?
