I had a chlamydia infection two years ago. I think that I had it for a week, but if I am incorrect in my timeline it could have been like 2 months. I had it in my throat and my vagina, and symptoms developed in both places within a week after I had a new partner which is why I’m thinking it was a week. But I also read that symptoms can take longer to develop so it may have been in my body longer than that.

Anyways, lately I’ve been extremely worried about my fertility. I am not planning to have kids for a few years still, but every single day I worry about if I will have fertility problems in the future. Whenever I hear of people getting pregnant I feel upset, and when my boyfriend mentions kids in the future I get upset. The symptoms I had felt the exact same as a UTI (mainly it burned when I peed). I never had pelvic pain (that I remember) or nausea, which I’m hoping means I didn’t have PID, but I can’t be certain.

If anyone has experience with clamydia and can offer input I’d appreciate it. Please no comments about always using condoms, I know that
