Yesterday morning at 5 weeks 5 days I woke up very uncomfortable. I had a sharp pain in my back and stomach, constipation pain I believe but not sure. It wouldn’t ease up no matter what and I strained a lot trying to use the bathroom because I was in tears in pain. Couldn’t even participate in Thanksgiving. I started spotting a bit so we decided to go to the ER in case the pain was something else (ectopic or something). They did blood work and my HCG was only 420. Did an exam and swab and said I have bacterial vaginosis causing the spotting. Did an ultrasound and couldn’t see anything but they said that was normal for that HCG level... I’m still spotting this morning but could easily be from the ultrasound, the tech was very rough. You should be able to see something on ultrasound at 5w5d though and my HCG should be higher. So do you think I ovulated late? Miscarrying? I go back Monday to have my HCG tested again to see if it rises. I didn’t get a positive test until the day after my period was due and it was extremely faint, barely visible. I took another Tuesday of this week just to check and it was as dark as the control.
