Can someone tell me the difference between 800 strollers and 300 strollers ?

I am eyeing the Nuna mixx ... but is it even necessary ?  There are so many strollers out there for such good prices , what is the true advantage of paying more ? What do they do that cheaper ones don’t?
Also looking for recommendations on a lower budget strollers if anyone has any they loved

If you want a good stroller that would last, it’s not going to be cheap. The Nuna is a great stroller. I’ve been using it for over a year and it still looks new. I love that it reclines all the way and that it’s easy it is to use. If you can find a good deal on a second hand one I’d get it (or any other good stroller). And you can resale it because it stays in relatively good shape.

Most lower end stroller have crap wheels. Raise from the jogging strollers.

Idk I have an old model graco non jogging stroller my mom picked up at a yard sale & used when my niece was little then passed on to me. I walk almost everyday & most the moms I walk with have really high end strollers, but we all get around just fine. Theirs do a little better on midsize cracks/ledges (we all do fine on little ones & big ones everyone struggles with). They say theirs are lighter to push, but I don’t think mine is bad at all. I also have more trays & cup holders 😊. 
I’ll probably invest in something a little nicer (not $800) if I have a 2nd & need a double stroller but for now, I like my free stroller.
Also I’m cheap, but if it was a priority I could afford to buy one, I really just don’t see the need.

The Nuna mixx2 (last years model) is on sale for 25% off on Nunas web page and also on Nordstrom... I just got one from Nordstrom, they are offering $100 Nordstrom gift card with that as well... I had a bunch of gift cards so it made it an easy choice. Realistically there wasn’t that much difference between the ‘18/‘19 models..

My sister and I both have the babytrend expedition travel system. Excellent stroller! She has been using hers for almost 4 years with no problems. I know another mom who still uses a babytrend with her younger kids and her oldest (who she bought the stroller for originally) is now 7 years old. This is a durable and good stroller. It is less than $200

There's nothing worse than a crappy stroller! I had a evenflo pivot for my daughter and hated it! Such a cheap piece of crap...
I got rid of it after a few months and got a city select and it's a million times better.
But like the other response said read reviews! I know Greco makes great strollers/travel systems for a reasonable price!

I bought two cheaper strollers before I got my city select. It’s worth every penny! The wheel are great I can use it on grass, it can convert to a double down the line, and it turns with just one hand. It’s 100% worth investing in a good one.

I Personally feel that to a degree you get what you pay for, look into reviews and then decide what you want and check fb marketplace or other secondhand selling places (like once upon a child) to see if there is the one that you want but in used good condition. I had the cheap track click connect stroller that comes with the travel system and that thing is going on three years of HEAVY use. Is it the most aesthetically pleasing? No. Is it functional? Yes. Does it work for my family? Yes. You just have to decide what is most important to you. For me, I’d rather spend the difference of 500 on a trip than a stroller. You can get a GREAT stroller for 300 or cheaper. But that’s just me
