Secret conversations on Facebook?

I’ve been off Facebook for a minute, someone please explain this to me.
I’ve had a gut feeling for a while that my husband is hiding something from me. And yes, I have asked him if he is hiding anything and he has done things to break my trust.
I logged into his FB messenger on my phone and turned off “Secret conversations”. Then today, I went on his phone and saw that “Secret conversations” was turned back on there.
Does that mean he turned it back on? Or were they just turned off on my device.
**I KNOW THIS IS TOXIC BEHAVIOR and I don’t want it to continue, I just have this nauseating feeling**

He might be having a secret conversation with someone the only way it’s turned on is if you turn it on I’m not married but you should definitely bring it up to your husbands attention cause if he is talking to other people secretly behind your back might as well find out now then later

I’ve never used secret conversations on messenger, I recently made a new one. I just looked and it was automatically turned on

you can’t do secret conversations on two devices. Like you can but the ones he has on his device cannot be seen from your device. And if you are logged in on your device and start one under his account he can’t see it on his device. Kind of confusing but basically if he is having one on his phone even of h go into his account on your phone you will bot be able to find it.
