Do you agree with the receptionist lady?

Lexie

My boyfriend and travel around the U.S. for his work so we're constantly in hotel rooms. He's usually the one who checks into the hotel while I stay in the car with our cat and luggage. We usually just reserve a room weekly so every Saturday he'll go to the front desk and ask to stay another week. We've been at this current hotel for 3-4 weeks now..

Note: Most hotels you have to be 21+ to check into, but not all of them. Some hotels you can be 18+.

Last night we went up to the front desk to reserve our room for another week and we got to talking to the receptionist lady. While we were talking she mentioned how she's more likely to rent a room out to a male whose 18+ instead of a girl. Her reasoning behind this is because "you never know if they're sex workers or being sex trafficked". She said as soon as she sees the female's license isn't over 21 then she denies her.

I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 20, part of me can understand why she would do that, but it also really irritates me because I would hate to be denied a room just because I'm a girl but my boyfriend is able to get a room. He's not able to check into the rooms every single time, so I've had to do it before. Its not fair for me to be denied and have to wait for him to get off work until he can check us in.

So what do you think? Do you agree with her for doing this or do you think she's wrong?
