Do you put your Christmas tree in front of a window?🌲⛄️

For as long as I can remember my mom always insisted our Christmas tree be put in front of a window so people driving by could see it. Why would you want random strangers to look in your window? I haven’t the slightest clue. 
But it’s something I still do now as an adult. That’s just where I was taught it’s supposed to go lol. 
Where do you put your tree in your home?

I love it in front of the window! My absolute fav! 
Yes it catches strangers eyes as they drive by, but it’s just the living room. If I am doing something I don’t want people to see I’ll close the blinds

No. Our blinds are closed at night so if it’s dark, they can’t see the lights anyway due to not not being able to see in. My tree is only for my enjoyment lol. I don’t care if others can see or not and I don’t have any interest in impressing anyone.

I don't keep my curtains open that face the road anyway, only the curtains that face my back yard. I don't like the idea of people looking in and watching me. This year, our tree is in view of the glass door to the backyard just because that was the best spot to put it because we just got new furniture that fills up where we normally have it, but it wasn't placed with the purpose of being in front of a window

We put ours next to our tv because we spend most of our nights watching tv and that way we can see it and enjoy it.

I voted no, even though our Christmas tree is currently in front of a window. Not bc we planned it that way but bc there’s no where else to really put it. My bf does this and his is in front of a window on the sun porch in front of the house. There’s not much else he can put it either, but he purposely decorates for the cars that drive by. He put the tree up before Halloween, so he could decorate it for Halloween then runs outside and sees how it looks. I think it’s actually kind of cute, seeing him run outside and see how the tree looks. His is also in the sun room, with open bay windows.

yes, but not for strangers. it's just bc my whole house is full of windows. we put ours in the living room near the wet bar since it's where we have the most space for presents

When I was a kid we had sliding glass doors in the back of the house. My dad always put the tree right in front of one of them but I always thought it was weird cause people would be looking into our living room if they looked at our tree lol 
I still put mine by the windows I’ve tried putting in other places but it looks strange.
