Why is getting a car a thing? I’ve come across so many students in college who don’t drive that it’s more of the norm to me. Like what’s wrong with the handful of us who don’t have a car? Why is that a huge problem? Also why do the people who do have cars feel the need to shame those who don’t? I have my license but my financial situation right now is not focused on having a car. And why is that anyone’s business? Why do I have to feel like I havent achieved something by having a car? I’m in college trying to make it by. And unfortunately I am unable to have the opportunity to go full time and all year cause the tuition has been rising since before I started and it’s only getting worse. I’ve been shamed more times than I can count by people with their own cars about not having one. Not to mention I don’t feel it’s anyones business why I don’t have one. I’m already ashamed enough not having one and going to school relying on my parents to get it school.
