When should I send out shower invites?

Finished my registry! Woot!! How many weeks ahead did you send out invites to your shower? Thinking of doing the shower in January but it would be cute to have a valentine shower. Is that cutting it too close?

Send out invites a month in advance! I’m having my shower in December (when family/friends are home for the holidays to make it) so I sent invites in November. I think a Valentine’s shower would be sooo cute but definitely cutting it close - if you end up delivering early you might not have all of your gifts unwrapped or accounted for in time!

I’ll be having 2 showers, the first two weekends of Feb. I think they say to send invites out 4-5 weeks in advance. Unless you have a lot of people traveling, you may want to do sooner.

My shower is mid jan and my SIL is sending them out in the next week or so
