Growth scan showed baby was small at 32 weeks. Further growth scans were arranged and twice weekly monitoring. At 33 weeks I came for monitoring and drs were not happy with the heartbeat. Two days later after continuous Monitoring, steroid injections and insulin for gestational diabetes, the decision was made to deliver by emergency c section.
So my daughter was born weighing 3lbs. I lost over a pint of blood. At 11 days old she is doing fabulously in the SCBU.
It’s so hard leaving her, but my heart is so proud of her progress. She is a fighter!
