Help! Mucus plug? Labor starting soon?
I’m 37 weeks and 4 days today. When I went to the bathroom earlier this morning, I saw a blob of yellowish egg-white mucus when I wiped. Never had that before in my pregnancy, just regular clear discharge. Could it be my mucus plug (or parts of it)?

For a couple of days, I also had mild cramping (sometimes regular, sometimes irregular) but even if it was a little more intense once in a while, it wasn’t that painful and the time between two cramps was not getting shorter so I continued my daily activities as usual. I also had some diarhea in the last few days.
Combined with that discharge, could this mean that labor is near? I add some more intense cramping last night and still feel a tightness in my belly this morning. Should I call my hospital’s obstetrics line to make sure (I’m considered high risk pregnancy because of gestationnal diabetes)?
It’s my first pregnancy so I don’t really know what I should be checking as early signs of labor.
