Do ring sizes differ based on different compaines?

Okay so my boyfriend told me he wants to know my ring size before Christmas 🙈 I was curious.. if I go to any store and get a ring finger size, will it be different if he goes with another companies product? Idk how this works and need help!! I know like my jean size is a certain size at one store and a different one at another so I’m just curious if it’s the same with rings

The only time I’ve noticed a difference is between cheap jewelry and “real” jewelry. My wedding band and engagement ring are both 5.5, from two different jewelry stores. In cheap jewelry, I tend to wear a 6.5/7

Not in my experience. They have always fit when I put my size in 🤷

The size depends on the width of the band. I’m a 3.75 in all my rings except my wedding set where I am a 3.25 because the bands are narrow.
