After 8 week appointment when is the next one? We want to announce on Christmas to family and also on social media but I’ll be shy of 12 weeks a few days. I’d like to get a 11 week scan just to ease mind.

I’m in the same exact boat. It feels weird to ask as I know it’s not routine. Maybe I’ll go to an independent place.

The standard in the US is 2 ultrasounds only unless there is an issue. I get a 7 (early viability scan due to having a previous ectopic), 8 (standard viability scan), and 20 week (anatomy scan). Other then that it’s just using a Doppler. If you want another US, you can go to a private place and pay to have a scan done. In the beginning your appointments are usually 4 weeks apart for the first half of pregnancy

I only get an 11 weeks scan. 
I had an emergency scan from hospital at 6 weeks but could you ask them to bump your ultrasound up to 11 weeks instead?
