38+6 tomorrow and I have an appointment with my midwife. I’m gonna see if she will be willing to do the membrane stripping (I believe that’s what it’s called). How likely is this to help put me in labor? My first two came on their own naturally with no help at 38+4&37+4 so I’ve never made further into my pregnancy to ask for help with labor to start. I’ve heard it’s painful but at this point idc I don’t want to be pregnant anymore lol.

My appointment was at 9:30am. My midwife checked and I was dilated to 4cm and completely thinned so she did the membrane sweep which really wasn’t that bad. I been cramping all day and little extra discharge since. But no labor yet :( she said she definitely doesn’t think it’ll be much longer but idk I just feel like it’s never gonna happen lol
