Can stress cause spotting...?

I'm having very very very light brown spotting since last night.  I didn't have this with my first baby, so while I know it can be normal,  it has me freaked out.  I'm under immense stress right now as my in-laws are currently trying to ruin Christmas and causing very hurt feelings between our families. Could the stress be causing it or just a coincidence?

Brown spotting is old blood. It's okay. I actually spotted and bled a little the whole week after I made 6 weeks except for maybe 2 days. I had pink and brown spotting and everything was okay. I'd say try to tone your stress levels down as much as you can though. & if you feel that bad you need to put them in their place. They can either have Christmas with y'all or not but it's not worth the extra stress at all. All that energy can be passed down to your baby. But as far as the spotting it's expected cause your uterus is adjusting for baby. As long as you don't start seeing bright red blood and heavy bleeding with clots you're okay. Be as positive as you can luv!! Congratulations as well!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I don’t know if it can. Even though you said you know it is normal I will let you know I had spotting like this and have a lovely 16 month old.
