Who has a Husky dog?

Question

Someone I know is wanting us to take in her husky pup but I don’t know how they are normally. I’ve never had one before lol
I’m thinking about getting him 😩

They howl,  blow their coat bad , they need alot of excercise they get bored easy and will find ways to entertain themselves as in destructive or escape and run the neighborhood

I have 2. Here’s the thing- they are awesome dogs for the right person. They need regular exercise, they are escape artists, they can have a high prey drive and go after small animals, and they blow their coats twice a year which means daily vacuuming. But they are so sweet, they have no odor because they are low dander animals, they are incredibly smart and they love their people. If you don’t have a very secure fenced in yard or the time to walk them every day or take them to a fenced in dog park at least 3 times a week it is probably not a good dog for you.

Every breed has their pros and cons. 
Huskies aren't normally barkers which means they most likely won't alert you when someone approaches your house. It also means they won't bark at leaves and squirrels though. When they are vocal it's more like a howl or whine. 
Huskies are known to be escape artists. Combined with their natural curiosity that can be a bad combo is you don't have secured outside areas. 
They dig but not to be destructive. It's their natural instinct to bury and store food. 
They need vigorous daily exercise both physically and mentally. 
They don't need a lot of inside space and can make very good family pets but they do require consistent training to learn their place in the family pack as well as not to give a big husky hug to anyone who comes to your house

Our husky is an absolutely sweetheart. Rarely breaks or howls. She doesn’t run off. But they do like to run. You need a backyard or to take them to the park sometimes. They love being outside. Hate getting warm. She’s everywhere all the time. But ours is a sweetheart. Way better than any other dog we’ve had.

I do but he isn't a normally husky. He is only active if I am home. He is silent. And he is afraid of being away from me so he doesn't escape.
Normally though they howl, they are very active and stubborn (will only do something if they want to) and they are known escape artist.

I absolutely loved my husky growing up. He was a wonderful guard dog, very protective of us. In general they are very energetic and need to be exercised. They're also independent and very inquisitive. They enjoy exploring. Our dog was very good at escaping (like most huskies), even if he was on a lead.  They shed a lot as they have a double coat to help them keep warm in artic temps.They're absolutely beautiful dogs but they can also take a lot of work.
