Usually if you are pregnant they tell you just to go ahead and see doc as soon as you can and when you get your card, take it with you and that’s about it. Ofc actually going through the process of medicaid application is a pain. You will need proof you are pregnant (no home test you can lie.) you will have to go to a free clinic that offers free testing. They will give you a doc that you will send to medicaid. So counting all the application process, it takes about 2+weeks. Make sure you have everything you need and it goes a little faster.

I was already on it, but I found it easiest to go to an actual location to talk to someone. Online application was taking forever but once I spoke with an actual worker it only took a couple days.

Wondering the same thing our insurance runs out the 20th, and my husband can’t get insurance at his new job for 90 days and he doesn’t even start until after the holidays. 😩
