You need pull ups not diapers. Part of potty training , is teaching child to pull and pull down their underwear when needing to go potty. Doing so with a diaper is very uncomfortable and it just plain doesn’t work. Pull ups are designed specifically to be able to pull t up and down multiple times a day.
We have used pampers diapers form birth and our daughter is 3. But pampers pull ups suck BAD in my opinion. And if your child goes t pre-K , they will require to have the ones that have Velcro on the sides not that tear apart ones. Since pampers easy ups don’t have Velcro and they suck anyways, we use the huggies pull ups. They make them for boys and girls and they are fantastic

Skip the pull ups, it feel like a diaper to them and actually can prolong potty training. For my son i just buy his usual diapers for leaving the house and bedtime but when hes awake i throw padded u underwear or pants with nothing underneath on him and ask him every 20 minutes or so if he has yo use the potty most of the time he will tell me himself tho. But i think pull ups are a huge waste of money and are uncomfortable

I never used pull-ups ever. I used swaddlers with my son and he potty fully trained in 2 weeks. 🤷🏻‍♀️
