How to message a tattoo artist??

I want to dm a tattoo artist about setting up an appointment/consultation or something. I need him to draw what I want too. How do i message him (on his page it says to dm). I get anxiety about these things so I’m sorry if this is a stupid question.

It's okay. Just dm him saying hey I'm very serious about getting "whatever it is you want" and want to know when the best time is to come in? Also send him some pictures/ ideas and let him know what you do and dont like about those images sent. Tattoo artists are used to awkward conversations...if they are cool, they won't even care how you approach them. When you do the appt...see if he requires a down payment and how much he is paid for hour and the general time it would take. Hoping you get a good one!!!

Ask him what his availability is like and say youd like to set up an appt. Most artists do in person consultations only. So I would send him pics of what you want and he will tell you to come in for the consult and schedule your appt and price you out from there.

i would reach out and say you love their work and want to get a piece yourself. Ask if he can give you a quote for it. And mention the size of the tattoo that you want, whether it’s color, black and white and attach reference photos if you have em.
