34 weeks & my waters broke yesterday

I’m currently in hospital for the next couple of days as my water broke yesterday. I’ve seen the doctor who’s aiming to get me up to atleast 37 weeks before delivering baby (provided she stays put) has this happened to anyone before? What was the outcome?
