Despair. Anger. Confusion.

Jessica

I’ve been trying for so long. I have a dad with heart failure with a short life expectancy and really want him to be a grandpa before his time is up.

I went in for my first appointment in July, had a full hormonal panel done. Doctor waited until my September appointment to tell me there were some clear issues, including low testosterone. One of the things she prescribed was DHEA. Said it takes 4 months to improve/address poor ovulation. Why wait the six weeks for my appointment instead of calling me and putting me on it right away? Then I started it September. October blood draw showed drastic improvement. Went in for November blood draw and they called and told me the med for decreasing prolactin wasn’t working well and added something else, but made no mention of DHEA-S; I assumed it was still good. Did my December blood draw this week and they called and said my levels where even lower than before we started treating me for it. I asked about November... same thing. WHY DIDNT THEY SAY ANYTHING. So I wasted six weeks this summer without them telling me, and now three more months in I’m back at worse then where I started, which they’ve known for over a month. For something that takes four months to correct until the chance of a viable egg, so much time wasted. Meanwhile, less and less likely that I will ever be successful, and my Dad is running out of time. Heartbroken.
