Second (or more) time mom tips for first time moms

So I just had my second baby and if there's one thing I would say to new moms that I've found so much easier the second time around is

MAKE SURE YOU'RE GETTING ENOUGH TO EAT AND DRINK FOR YOURSELF.

I remember with my first I was way more burnt out than I needed to be because I was reluctant to put my baby down and sometimes just let her cry for a few minutes while I got myself something to eat or drink. It's so easy to put yourself on the back burner, but since you're probably sleep deprived anyway, you don't need to make it harder on yourself by not nourishing your body. Plus it's super okay to let your kid lay on a towel on the floor and cry while you take a shower (or a poop!). If baby is fed and changed, you don't need to feel bad about putting them down somewhere safe so you can take care of you! Stock up on quick and easy snacks and make sure you have a big water bottle or cup you like.
